Website Advertising Specifications
Static GIF, JPEG, animated GIF or PNG files are acceptable. Please provide professionally designed banner ads, which use good quality images and clear copy. Web banners will be subject to CE Diary Dental India approval. We offer a graphic design service with preferred rates for our members. Contact us to find out more.
As a general guide please do not submit banner ads in which:
- The quality of the ad is grainy/blurred or pixelated
- The images or text in the ad is unclear or difficult to read
- The colours clash and reduces the legibility of the ad
- The animation of text rotates too quickly to be read
- The ad uses florescent or extremely bright colours which detracts from the design of the CE Diary Dental website
All banner artwork should be 72 dpi and optimized for the web. Optimization is the process whereby the file size of an image is reduced to a minimum without changing the overall appearance of the graphic (or only moderately). This can be achieved by utilizing various file compression methods and reducing the amount of colours the image contains.
To ensure a short download time, please do not exceed the following file sizes:
- Static banners - 15 KB maximum.
- Animated banners - 25 KB maximum.
With animated banners, the time it takes to complete the animation cycle should not exceed 10 seconds. It is also recommended that you include a call to action, such as 'find out more' or 'subscribe now' for example, towards the end of this time frame.
