Continuing Education Diary is happy to welcome Momentum Management to our community of Dental CPD Providers. Cathryn Atkinson was kind enough to answer some questions for us regarding the CPD that Momentum Management Provides.
1. Can you tell us a little bit about Momentum Management, how the when the company developed?
Momentum has been in existence for 10 years. Previously Randi worked with the Pride Institute in the USA and then worked with some people here who wanted to bring it all to Australia.
2. When did you start working for Momentum Management and what duties does your role encompass?
Randi started Momentum, and is the Director and Owner, as well as training some of the workshops, teaching seminars and coaching some clients.
3. What specific areas in Dental CPD is Momentum Management focusing on?
The CPD points you can obtain through Momentum are non-clinical points, which can help everyone learn more about their business - through the numbers, leadership, hiring and training staff, implementing new systems, excelling with your Hygienist, time management and planning for the future - all of which can help in making life and work less stressful and allowing Dentists more time for themselves and their families, all whilst earning more and stressing less!
4. What courses are coming up that you are particularly excited about?
We have a myriad of courses coming up which will all help dentists in different ways. One of our most popular and effective courses is 'Instant Trust... How to Increase Case Acceptance & Referrals', coming up in Perth on July 24th and Auckland on September 11th. This course is guaranteed to help dentist build trust with their patients, encouraging case acceptance as patients see the benefits of treatment, as well as having them so pleased with the service that they'll be referring friends and family to the dentist. Definitely a beneficial day for all involved. This can be a great experience for the dentist, and also their staff.
On the 1st of September, in Melbourne, we'll be spending a full day discussing how to market today's dental practice and encourage great patients into your chair at 'Marketing Your Practice to Attract the Right Patients'.
One of the things many dentists are telling us they are struggling with is their staff - finding the right ones, managing them, training them, and retaining them. We can show them 'How to Build a World Class Team' on August 28th in Adelaide, or October 13th in Melbourne. This is a great way to start maintaining your staff and creating a perfect practice team environment.
If dentists feel they want more awareness and control around the numbers in the practice, the perfect way to understand these is being presented on July 31st in Auckland, and August 7th in Brisbane. 'The 7 Benchmarks for Financial Certainty, Higher Profits & Increased Productivity' is the perfect day to help you get a handle on what your numbers mean, and what they allow you to do.
5. What dedicated facilities does Momentum Management have for CPD Courses?
The seminars are held in venues around Australia and New Zealand, as well as at our Head Office in Melbourne.
6. How do you see the implementation of compulsory CPD affecting the way CPD courses are provided in this country?
We hope the new compulsory CPD points will encourage high quality courses and information being provided to dentists Australia-wide!
