This month we feature an interview with new University of Queensland CPD Coordinator, Sara James. She gives us some news regarding the reinvigoration of CPD at UQ.
CE Diary: Tell us a little about yourself and how you came to be coordinator of CPD at UQ? Sara: My work with the university started last August as Learning Support and CPD Assistant and I have recently moved into the Coordinator position in CPD - a steep learning curve which is very motivating! Several courses in the program are tried and tested so there will be favourites such as Infection Control, Extra-oral Radiography

The International Association of Endodontic Associations (IFEA) and the Hellenic Endodontic Society are very pleased to invite you to the IFEA 8th Endodontic World Congress, to be held in Athens, Greece, on October 6-9, 2010. In 2010, the International Federation of Endodontic Associations celebrates 20 years of organizing high caliber Endodontic Congresses around the world. After Mexico City in 1990, Paris in 1992, Rome in 1995, Jerusalem in 1998, Madrid in 2001, Brisbane in 2004 and Vancouver in 20 07, the 2010 Congress returns to Europe and Athens.

AOS QLD Half Day Lecture Invitation

The Australsian Osseointegration Society has announced an upcoming dental continuing education meeting in Brisbane.
AOS has invited Dr. Torsten Jemt, Gothenburg, Sweden to a lecture tour of Australia. Brisbane is his first stop on the agenda. He will present a half day program on 16 March 2010 from 12 pm to 5 pm, at Tattersall's. Lunch will be served. Cost is $ 330 for members and $ 660 for non-members.
Please note, that registration for this event is handled by AOS federal. Online registration and payment is available at the AOS Website. Registration deadline is the 5th of March.

We all know that New Zealand is a wonderful place to visit, but there are also many quality Dental CE courses held in the many beautiful cities and towns that make up our friendly neighbour. Accordingly, CE Diary Dental is now listing courses from all over New Zealand. Feel free to let us know if you have a course that you would like to list. Membership is free to all associations and study clubs.
We would also like to welcome our newest members to our community. The Dental Hygienists Association of Australia Inc has recently joined and will soon be listing CE courses for Hygienists. The DHAA is a core provider of continuing education for Hygienists and we are very happy to welcome them on board. We've also recently had Sue Taji Dental list courses on the diary. Interview with CE Course Provider Sue Taji

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Sue Taji Dental to our community. Sue Taji Dental have been providing Dental CE Courses for 10 years. Let's hear what Sue has to say on the topic of Dental CE.....
CE Diary: Tell us a little about Sue Taji Dental and how you came about to be creating CE Courses?
Sue: I have always been a firm believer in continuing one’s own pursuit of knowledge and skills in an ongoing effort to maintain clinical excellence, which in a way has driven me to specialize further in paediatrics. Having attended many dental continuing education events nationally and internationally has highlighted the large range and standards of courses available. Often I have found product or company sponsored events to heavily sway the content towards product promotion instead of pure and unbiased CE. This drove me to establish Sue Taji Dental in 2001 and based in Brisbane, our focus remains the provision of entertaining and motivating continuing education courses and clinically orientated dentistry, unbiased and unsponsored. Over the past decade we have enjoyed organising dental continuing education courses in various locations across Australia.

Trans Tasman Endodontic Conference 2010

The Trans-Tasman Endodontic Conference will be held in Christchurch, New Zealand 4-6 November 2010. The previous conference held in Hobart in October 2008 was a great success and provided valuable continuing education for both general dentists and Endodontist. We have no doubt that Dr Peter Duckmanton and his colleagues on the organising committee will put together a varied and interesting CE program.
