This course aims to simplify the diagnosis of these often confusing
disorders by using four diagnostic categories that cover the majority of
these problems.
Topics to be discussed will be:
*A review of the anatomy of the masticatory structures The Biomechanics
of masticatory function The development of Temporomandibular Disorders
*The use of the "TMD Diagnostic flow chart"
*The management of TMD.
Dr. Wilkinson will demonstrate to the participants the process of
examination/diagnosis on several patients, as well as a demonstration
of the construction of a splint chairside.
The course aims to give participants confidence in recognising and
treating patients suffering from these disorders.
